हेअठेर गोएस बोल्ल्य्वूद!

Hello everyone!

I am in India, and it is hot hot hot! I arrived last night at about midnight, and they got to go to the bollywood district of mumbai! Where we went and watched for "stars" It was a very funny experience. My family is awesome! they have a daughter (who is coming to the US in a few weeks) and a son. As to India, well there are alot of people, unlike in Wisconsin where you can go for a day and NOT see anyone, here there are people everywhere! Its really great. It is very different, people will bend over backwaords to please customers, and consumers. Such as last night we were in a hotel (in the bollywood district) and they were cleaning the floors, in the US they would have been like Sorry and made you go a different way, here, they are like oooo we are soo sorry to clean the floors, and they will not only clean off an area for you to walk on but also put down a carpet so you do not get your feet dirty. (The carpet was red, so truly red carpet treatment was in order). After bollywood, we went back to Pune, which is about a 2.5 hour drive. The drivers here are crazy! (FYI:They do drive on the opposite side of the road) In the craziness, the car horn is a great tool, they use if for everything, they honk at anyone and everyone, along with flash there brights at everyone on the road. Speed limits are taken very lightly, like 30 is like 80... or 90, well really about 100. When a sign says keep left, it means go all the way to the right and then at the last second make a MAD DASH 90 degree turn on a major highway to get to the right. Dogs are all over the streets side walks are too covered with people selling things to walk on, and people in general. It is really fun just to watch the people go by. Like you will see old grannys on big motor bikes, and in Saris. It is just wild! I got the chance to go shopping today. A friend of my family was in the market for a traditional Indian dress (which is like the short short, the long skit and the scarf) and we went to a more western store, where once again as to the Indian hospitality they bend over backwards to please you. They took you into a backroom, and personally went through a ton of dresses and found one that she liked, and then you get it custom fitted, after you buy it to ensure that it fits perfectly. When it was all over, and i was already stunned by how much they try to please you in this store. I was told that this store was really full of rude people, i can only imagine what the nice store is like! Tomorrow i am going to go to the school, to sort out my classes and sorts, i saw the school today, and it is a very very large campus. Like a 12 story highrise and then a smaller school all with parks in things. Well i am going to go now and work on unpacking my things, and well i will probably end up reading my Harry Potter book...
