प्लेस सेंड तोल्लिएत पेपर....

Well i am still amazed by the entire country of India... or what i have scene!!! I love it here... India, is really the country that never sleeps, there is always noise and commotion, people are always around, and there is always something to do some place to go or something to see. Even if I have done nothing all day long, i can still see life by watching out the window, because there is always a crowd of people. So today alone i have done so much, but back to about two days ago after college was over, i went to go see a movie with another exchange student who is at my college from the US (her name is Lauren) and we went to go see Partner, it is a Hindi Movie (i have mentioned it before) and so it is like a carbon copy of Hitch except he is a marriage arranger, and it is quote hysterical!!! Though both of us could not understand most of the movie, an effort was made! And really the effort counts! Yesterday and Today were holidays from college because it is for the celebration of te kick off of the Silver Jubilee year, which began on the First at Symbiosis (my college) and then tomorrow i believe will also be a holiday, they do not publish official holidays and dates anywhere, and so you are expected to learn about them from other students, and going to college is at your parents digression. So i guess school resumes on Monday, though i will not be going because i am going to Mumbai to drop off my host sister because she is going to the US for a year (she is going to Bowling Brook,IL it is really close to Chicago). So in the Silver Jubilee celebration, a lot of money was givin to the school, and so an assembly which was going to be about 45 minutes we had been told lasted around 4 hours (when that time hit we ducked out properly). Today was spent mostly on the back of a motor bike with my host sister riding around the city going to different places, we did go to Domino's for lunch for pizza, it is pretty much the same, with the exception of putting ketchup on pizza, but i found very funny they just came out with Calzones, which according to the signs all over town are "A Mexican Delight!" Then we went shopping and off to visit some friends of hers at their society's. Much of India is broken up into Society's which are like the American Idea of neighborhoods, and they range from shanties to amazing gated communities. As for the poverty, which i am sure someone is wondering, there are beggars all over the streets, and often little children. Today when i went to Dominos, i had a bottle of Coke, which was still half full, and walking out about 20 little children who all resembled zombie droids came running after me, and jumping on me screaming "COKE, COKE, SODA," i found it very strange how the called it soda which my host sister pointed out, because soda and pop are American words they call coke- coke, or if you want soda/pop, they call it a cold drink. So that is my one huge run in, which the poverty. As for cows in the streets, there are animals EVERYWHERE. Pigs, Donkeys,Buffalo, Cows, Dogs, Cats,Sheep, Goats and some Mongoose even! They will even be on main roads just sorta standing there, it si funny how you will see a cow standing next to the good shopping plaza. Well right now i am off to get some dinner, and maybe watch some hindi movies!!!
